If Sir Narayana Murthy can’t comment on IIT standards, how can Chetan Bhagat comment on Narayana Murthy’s comments… hahaha… mockery…

It is not surprising how celebrities behave these days isn’t it. Whether it is film stars or so called revolutionary authors like Chetan Bhagat or our great Indian spinner Bishan Singh Bedi. Whenever he feels the media isn’t giving enough importance to him, he comes in front of the media with a statement like “All the wickets taken by Muralitharan are run-outs”. Man!!! you need some guts to come up with such a statement.

Film stars come up with weird statements too, or they try to get into a relation for the heck of it and once they get into page 3 for few days, they call it off. You might be thinking why am I talking about all this now,  but I guess Mr. Chetan Bhagat is ending up in the same Genre as the film stars or celebrities who are craving for attention.

I have immense respect towards Chetan Bhagat for his creativity and the excellence with which he created a revolution in books by Indian Author’s. But I am not a huge fan of his writing skills or the content he carries in those books. And when I saw the comments made by him about the remarks by great Narayana Murthy about the quality of IIT education, I was shocked. Not just by the comments, but the way he conveyed those comments was very derogatory to a great personality like Sir Narayana Murthy.

And what wrong did Sir Murthy say? He said the quality of students coming out of IIT is degrading. I wanted to ask one thing to Chetan Bhagat… what was it that he conveyed in the entire novel of 5.someone? Did he showcase the excellence of IIT students in that book? Did he show the brilliance and the technological contributions of the students in the book? All he talked about was booze parties, love stories, degrading the lecturers and insulting the system. And unfortunately, that book is a huge hit among the youth of our country. Students in the age group of 12-18 also read the book and they are huge fans of this book.

Thanks to Chetan for the huge contribution he made to the society. The simple fact here is, in tender age of 12-18 years, what they see for majority of time is what stays on their mind. And with a book like 5.someone based on the background of IIT’s what respect did he have to the institution and what does he expect the kids who read that book to behave like when they go to an institute like that. So this is the greatest contribution he made to the society as a product of the IITs. I still respect him because there are a lot of educated people who take him as inspiration.

On the other side, Sir Narayana Murthy also a product of IIT, is a perfect example of valuable contribution to the society. What more can someone contribute to a nation than him? He created a new horizon of opportunities for the youth in the country. He raised the value of this country in the world market by the standard of services provided by his company. He made valuable contributions to the youth by his speeches and books. He made budding entrepreneurs believe in themselves and he stood like an epitome of success and inspiration for them. After contributing to the society for almost 40 years, and having seen generations of students join his company and prosper in front of his eyes, and he himself being a student from the IIT, who other than him can be a better person to comment on the standard of students passing out from IIT?

And the moment a comment came out from such a dignitary, the staff and professors from IIT also supported his point and it in fact already started working on way to make a difference to improve the standards. Such is an impact a word from legends like him create.

So Mr. Chetan Bhagat: It was really tough to see such derogatory comments from you on this legend and the great successful organization he has created. It is not easy for the youth of this country to digest such remarks and it would hurt the sentiments of a huge population of this country. Sir Murthy is a great inspiration for many of us and we expect a successful writer like you who has very good following convey positive and vibrating information to the generations than trying to make controversial statements and gain immediate popularity.

Chetan Bhagat

Sir Narayana Murthy

Does YSR’s huge contribution to congress party make him clean leader? Does it free him from any conspiracy cases against him?

Andhra politics is in the doldrums for the last 2 years. Thanks to the so called great leader Dr. YS Rajashekhara Reddy who made sure there is no one who can even come close to being a leader in his absence. He had a valid point. What if that person proves to be more able leader than him and dethrones him? So he has done complete justice to his position.

Unfortunately he expired in a chopper crash. Unfortunate? Considering the current state of affairs in the state yes, it is in fact unfortunate. And a lot of action took place on the political front after that incident. And after 2 years, for this first time there seems to be some progress happening in the state with the CBI filing case against his Son YS Jagan.

Is he being targeted by the congress government because he left the national party and floated a new party?

At least this is the argument that the so called people’s neta Jagan is trying to make with the media and gain the attention and sympathy of people. Well then shouldn’t our government be questioned for not doing this even if YSR was alive? Rather why is it being questioned for doing this after his death? Irony!!!

Another ridiculous argument that he comes up with is that he says:

Considering all that my dad has done to the Congress at the state level and the national level, this is an insult to conduct these raids on me after he expired.

For GOD SAKE!!! We as public care a damn about what your dad did to the congress at the state level and national level. All we care about is what you have done for the state and the people in the state.

By giving statements like this, you are clearly buying to the fact that there might be illegal assets but my dad has done so much to the party so you cant do any inquiry.

I am not sure how many would support my argument on this but I do not mean to hurt anyone because I have no personal interaction with any of the members mentioned in this blog but this is what I feel considering the reports and statements made the aforementioned people I heard over the media.

Let justice win and if it is found that the assets are illegal and have to be confiscated, so be it and let the guilty be punished. At least this is a good gift we can give to the great personality and leaders like Anna Hazare…

Royal Enfield Classic: Dream Ride on the Clouds…

Hello Friends,

After a waiting period of 8 months for a two wheeler, when you get it into your hands, you would feel, “This bloody thing better be worth the wait… Otherwise I might be the biggest loser”. 😛

Well its worth the wait and money every penny. The moment you sit on this you would feel the preciousness of it and the majesty of it treating you like a king. I am talking about the Royal Enfield Classic 350.

The Classic 35o now comes with a self start and its actually surprising that a huge engine like that of a Royal Enfield starts with a small button. 🙂 But the moment this beauty starts off, it takes you into a trance of the beat and the thump.

You gain attention from everyone around you when you start the engine, and the moment you gain some momentum on this…

AWWWWWWWWWW!!! Its a dream ride all over…

You do not even realize that you have touched 50kmph but you are already racing down the road at 50kmph just in the 4th gear. The showroom guys says… “Do not cross 50kmph until your first servicing is done…” 😛

I am like dude “You think you gave me a bullock cart and asked me not to cross 50 kmph?”. “It’s a 350 cc/19.8 BHP engine”. But anyways I am trying to keep it down for now with a lot of difficulty.

Riding comfort of the bike:

The thumping of the engine is phenomenal and the Classic 350 comes with a special thumping compared to the Thunderbird which is a lot more smoother as it was intended to be a cruiser model.

The Suspension cannot get better than what I am currently experiencing. All of a sudden Hyderabad roads doesn’t seem as bad as they were when I was riding the Pulsar. 🙂 Even the pillion rider experiences very good comfort and as the suspension is great, there is not tiresomeness even after a long drive in the traffic.

The short handle on the Classic makes it a really comfortable bike to cruise through the city traffic as you can maneuver the bike easily.

All in all, the bike is a great experience and you need to own it to feel it. Only when you see yourself on it and feel that you are the proud owner of it, you will enjoy the ride even more.

On My Royal Enfield Classic 350

Bottom Line: Drive it!!! Feel it!!! Own it!!! Love it!!!

KC.

Why I quit watching news channels or read news papers for the last 5 months???

Hello friends,

For the last 5 months I made it a point that I will not watch any news channels or read news papers because of the vulgarity of news that’s being telecast in them. At times I feel ashamed looking at so much bad happening in the country that they do not help us in any way, and if at all they do anything, they only harm our minds. Just consider today’s incident of Naxals attacking the police force in Chatthisgarh. Please look at this new article in one of the prestigious news channels in India.

The title of the article says:

Dead Naxals carried like animals, NHRC objects

Looking at this article I feel the heat of treating any humans in such a fashion, irrespective of the fact that they (Naxals) are carrying out many anti-social activities. My concern here is not with the media reporting the ill treatment against them but why publish photographs publicly. In umpteen cases it has been demonstrated how the Naxals and Terrorists use the media for their information. In spite of all this, the media continues to come up with such articles. Imagine anyone close to the killed watching such videos/photographs. Will they be able to handle this? Will this article not provoke any thoughts of vengeance in these people? Are we not provoking more people to such a massacre? Why can’t such highly qualified journalists and editors understand this simple psychological factor that can impact many lives?

Instead if they really want to condemn such an act, please do so by providing the information to the government officials and make sure the concerned government officials work on providing justice and punishing the culprit. I received an article last week from my friend. It was a letter from the most inspirational president of our country Dr. Abdul Kalam. In that article Dr. Kalam mentions about the media in Israel. On a day of brutal deaths due to war, the main page of the news paper in Israel had an article about a man who changed lives of an entire village. That’s the kind of inspiration people in India really need from the media.

Just imagine the same situation in India and the articles that will follow in the newspapers and news channels. Haha hang on a second, do we have to imagine. We have seen it!!! During the Mumbai attacks, every news channel had a live telecast of the proceedings of the attacks. Does anyone know any good thing that happened in our country of 1 billion people during those 3 days? I know you might be thinking about Hemanth Karkare, who sacrificed his life during the attacks for our country. He thoroughly deserves the respect that he was showered with. What about any other news during these three days?

Well I don’t want to make this blog any longer than this, but just felt like sharing that I am very happy with my decision about making a conscious effort not to watch any news channels.

Any comments are appreciated and are open for discussion.

Thanks,

Krishna Chaitanya Emani.

Roots of Bribery

It might seem shocking but I feel the roots of bribery start right from the childhood. Let’s move back to those days when you were around 1 to 2 years old, just learning to talk in bits and pieces, just started walking and running to a fair bit only to run away from your mom while she is trying to feed you.

MOM: Hey son, please don’t make me run. Open your mouth. AAAAA!!! AAAAA!!!

You are make valiant effort to escape from her tight grips, roaring and shouting, NO!!! I don’t want it. NO!!!

MOM: Please eat a little my son. You did not have anything since afternoon. You just had a glass of milk at 5 PM, and then a cup of Farex at 6:30 PM and now its 7:30 PM. Please eat this rice.

Mom never feels her kid has had enough food isn’t it?

But you have no intention of gulping the well mixed rice and rasam. Your song continues with firm denial. Mom finally catches hold of you and lifts you up holding you in one hand and carrying the bowl in the other. He walks out into the balcony.

MOM: Don’t cry dear. Let’s see what we will find out there.

MOM: There you go, look at the Moon. Call it.

You push your hand out with innocence written all over your face and call the moon. Your mom says,

MOM: Eat this and the moon will come closer. Moon likes kids who eat well.

You finish the entire bowl of rice expecting the moon to come close every time you swallow.

I hope you were able to visualize yourself when you were a kid or at least visualize a kid and a mom in front of you. The innocent kid launches a career in the bribery world though that attempt is not successful, as he never got the moon. At that age, you are innocent enough to look at the moon again the next day and have a complete meal expecting it the next time.

I am a firm believer is something called subconscious mind and the impact everyday activities create on your behavior. This activity creates a very strong impact on the kid because it’s not once or twice that the mom teases the kid to get him the moon but it happens many a times. So it’s quite possible that the kid starts expecting to get something (gifts) to do something (eat) which he has to do regularly.

Bribery has become a habit in the society these days and it’s tough to have a day go by without seeing at least one incident of bribery. Some days we indulge in it too by being a giver if not an acceptor. So, I just thought of bringing up this topic and check what others think of it.

Please share your thoughts and comments.

Andhra Politics in a turmoil…

This is the first thing I expected when I heard the shocking news of Dr. YS Rajashekara Reddy’s demise in the recent chopper crash. I pray to god that his soul rest in peace. If YSR was alive and for instance, if he had to get down from the CM post at this point of time, I would be pretty sure that YSR wouldn’t recommend Jagan as his successor. No personal grudge on Jagan but the fact is that, he is still a kid in the political arena and he hardly has an experience of 4 months. When there are experienced leaders in the party who have been associated with the party for long time, how can a infant be elected as the Chief Minister. I am a firm supporter of youth in Indian Politics but not in the most important post of the state in the first few months of political entry.

The dead body of YSR did not even reach his residence in Hyderabad, and the congress MLA’s have already begun the ball game in the background of getting signatures of the MLAs supporting Jagan as the next CM. What else can this mean other than exhibiting the urge to gain personal advantage in the future. It was like a rat race as to who is going to say it first. And once the first statement came out in support of Jagan, the remaining MLA’s were worried that they might miss out of the limelight. Political lobbying is reaching an abysmal state in Indian and especially Andhra Politics.

Recent breaking news from Headlines Today or the news paper Mail Today revealed this disgraceful news that the Congress Ministers and the representatives in Andhra paid money to the families who lost their loved ones to declare their death was a suicide due to the shock of listening to the news of YSR’s demise. Can it get worse than this? 430 deaths were associated with this, with close to 150 of them were declared as suicide and cardiac arrest for YSR’s death and the rest were declared as suicides to elect YS Jagan as the next CM. I pity the state of those ministers and party representatives who can go to such cheap levels only to ensure they gain an edge in the party.

With this being the political state of Andhra Pradesh, respected Dr. Rajashekar (a movie star in telugu and tamil) and Mrs. Jeevitha Rajashekar have come in front of the press the immediate day to give their support to YS Jagan as the next CM. When the press asked them, if they would vote for Chiranjeevi, he said, “NO, WHY WOULD I VOTE FOR HIM? WHAT EXPERIENCE DOES HE HAVE IN POLITICS?”. Now the same person is asking Jagan to be the next CM of AP who has even less experience than Chiranjeevi. Look at the chameleon behaviour of these people just to gain advantage.

I wish the Congress High Commission doesnt take any hasty decisions and lets hope the entire cry about the CM post ends with a sensible decision.

Thanks,

Krishna Chaitanya Emani.

Once again a pathetic display by the Media-Dr. Chiranjeevi’s Daughter Marriage

Imagine you have a daughter and if she runs away from you and marries someone… how embarassing it can be to you being a father. How many people will ask you about that issue and how much pain it can give to your heart…

The media recently telecasted the marriage of Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s Daughter in the television. A person who is treated as one among the family in most of the families around the state of Andhra Pradesh. He is the force behind many social activities, he is the king of telugu cinema, he is the man who brought an elite charisma to the telugu film industry in the world, and is this the way media behaves with his personal matter and defame him.

Why should media hype it so much and telecast it 24 hours a day? Specially TV9 is the channel that has to be blamed for the entire episode. First of all its a shame on Srija to do this and defame a person of Chiranjeevi’s image. Later inspite of knowing that she is a daughter of the biggest celebrity in the state of Andhra Pradesh, the media should have the common sense and respect towards the man and his feelings when he sees the news. How embarassing it can be to the big man. Just for 5 mins if the journalist thought what would have happened if his daughters incident is telecasted the same way, how embarassing it can be to him in a small society of his. Hardly how many people will he know? 1000, 2000, 3000 or at the max he can know 10000 people. Just to answer those people he might end up commiting suicide… Imagine how many people around the world might have known about this news, close to 10 crores. Even a 6 year old kid might not know is the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, but he will sure know who is Chiranjeevi… how could the journalist even do this…

Please stop this kind of media telcasts… do something productive to improve the country… by doing this you are doing nothing but asking all the youngsters to call the media when ever they marry someone… loving someone is a good deal but hurting your parents and their feeling and spoiling their reputation in the society is not the right way…

I sincerely want to convey my best wishes to Chiranjeevi sir and hope he is out of this pain as soon as possible. Do not worry about your daughter sir… there are millions of daughters and sons around this world supporting you and wishing you success…

 With love

KC

Then Shilpa, now Bipasha… to add to it… idiotic media…

Then it was Shilpa Shetty in the controversy for an on the stage kiss with Richard Gere. Now its the turn of another bollywood actress Bipasha Basu who kissed Cristiano Ronaldo in the recently held event to announce the new 7 wonders of the world. Is it necessary for the media to showcast is so much. Whats the need to put it as a huge heading in the front page. Who really wants to know if Bipasha Basu kissed Ronaldo or David Beckham?

The heading read… its an insult to Indian Heritage and culture. Where the heck did the concern about the culture go when the same heroiens worked in hot movies with lip locking kisses in it. The same journalists go to interview the stars addressing them as one of the hotest bollywood actress of the current times. Is that not an insult to India culture? Why dont you question the actors for doing such indecent scenes.

When you want to make a progress in the movies and make everything westernized in the movies the same thing will reflect on the day to day life too. When you do not care about the change of culture in the movies, why do you hype it up so much when a star kisses a person whom she meets in the international arena. Even if Bipasha rejected Ronaldo from kissing her, that would have been the heading next day. The head lines would have been “Popular football player recjected for a hug from India bollywood beauty-does she have moral ethics“. All that media wants is some idiotic points to write and create a hype in the public. I would like to ask one question to every news paper journalist… how many times have to contradicted your own statements in the columns that you write? Many times and I bet you…

Please stop concentrating on idiotic and mediocre things in this world. This particular news was given even more importance than the good and great news that TAJ MAHAL was selected as one of the new 7 wonders. How embarasing it can be. Ridiculous truely ridiculous.

Whats the Beauty in it?

One fine evening I was sitting in the chair watching television. Just when I was changing channels continuously, all of a sudden a lady caught my eye. The hand just paused for a second it never moved from that channel. The lady was Gorgeous!!!

I dont know who she is and I dont think she is a very big celebrity, it was a reality show which is very common on US television. Even though I dont know who she is, I know the reason for her beauty. She was dressed in a saree. Its a red saree with mirror embroidery on it. And she wore it in a perfect fashion and I couldnt move my eye off her.

Indian Traditional dresses have that aura in them. You might see ladies wearing different kinds of dresses, right from Jeans, T-Shirts, Sleeveless Shirts, Skirts, Mini-Skirts what not and what not… you might feel a girl is beautiful in some of these dresses tooo but when you see a girl in Indian dress you feel that happiness, you get that homely feeling, you feel that pride. I bet you girls go to a party here, any party for that matter in an Indian outfit, you are going to steal the attention in that party.

Its the beauty of the Indian tradition that gives it this beauty. Which other country in this world has so many traditional dresses. Every state has a different tradition and every traditions defines itself and makes a mark for itself. Hatsoff to the great Indian tradition. Hope we maintain and portray it throughout our life. I love India.

Mera Bharath Mahaan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comparison between Big B and Rajnikanth-Senseless

 amitabh_bachchan_4.jpg       VS      rajni.jpg

CNN-IBN came up with a sense less poll asking who is bigger star? Amitabh or Rajni.

The aurgument is so senseless… How can you even compare these two actors. Rajni is a regional language actor. While Amitabh is a Natinal language actor. The type of people who watch the movies are different. If an Amitabh movie is released in any of the villages back in Tamil Nadu people will not even bother to look at the posters because they are not interested in seeing that movie. On the other hand, if you release a Rajni movie for the nth time people will go to that movie again and again. Its basically the interest of the people.

Amitabh is definitely more versatile actor than Rajni for all the different kinds of roles he potrayed. Ranji is a good actor and has very good box office calibre but to be frank with his acting skills, he is more a monotonous and a stereo type actor. Right from his blockbuster movie Bhasha I bet you even his fans cant name a single role in which he tried to vary his character. Every movie its the same style and its the same dialouge delivery. He is a bit lucky in some cases where he gets very good roles. I accept the fact that he has that charisma to pull the crowd to the theatres and his movies will be a big bomb if its done with anyone else in his place. But that doesnt mean he is a bigger star than Amitabh.

And moreover the idea of CNN-IBN to compare these two actors is like comparing two kids who are writing completely different exams. Its senseless… seriously… The languages are different, the section of people who each one of them target is different, the kind of movies they do is different, how can anyone compare them. Can anyone even imagine Rajnikanth in place of Amitabh in Black or Sarkar. In the same way can anyone imagine Amitabh in the role Rajni did in Bhasha or Narasimha. For god sake do not compare them and create a rift in the movie field. They have immense respect about each other and many more in the film industry deserve the same respect. Kamal Hasan, Nana Patekar, Chiranjeevi and many more. Everyone has there own charisma and fans… do not compare them and spoil the sweetness and fun they are providing us through movies.

Lets hope both Amitabh and Rajni will give us lots of entertainment in future.
